Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998)
In this tale by Guy Ritchie (Mr. Madonna), Jason Flemyng, Dexter Fletcher, Nick Moran and Jason Statham star as clueless hustlers trying to make a big score. In the process, they end up in trouble with the London underworld and have a week to figure a way out. This movie is very stylish and has brilliant storytelling, like a scene that takes place in a bar concerning a television set...I won't spoil it for you. Despite being a crime story, it is surprisingly funny.

Riding Giants
Even if you don't like surfing, this documentary by Stacy Peralta will get you excited about it. Riding Giants is a timeline of surfing, beginning with native Hawaiian roots, through the beginnings of surfer culture in the late 1940's and 50's, to the modern smallboard, deepwater riders. Peralta captures the fanaticism of these people and their intense desire to match their abilities against nature in this insanely dangerous sport. A very enjoyable movie.
